Sweater Christmas Trees

Some of our favorite holiday pieces start somewhere unexpected. These little trees begin as secondhand sweaters from local markets in Kenya. Artisans at the Grain of Rice Project shape them into trees and top each one with a hand-cut brass star. They’re soft, a little whimsical, and made to come out every December.
